Klaus Doldinger's Passport: "Passport on Stage" Tour 2010
After his first musical outings with The Feetwarmers and Oscar's Trio as a youth, he formed in 1962 the Klaus Doldinger Quartett, and one year later cut the internationally successful album "Doldinger – Jazz Made in Germany", which was released in 20 countries.
Under the pseudonym "Paul Nero" he combined soul, rhythm'n'blues with bebop oriented improvisations. He made T.V. and film history with his compositions, had prizes heaped upon him, was knighted and declared Honorary Citizen of New Orleans.
In 1971 he formed Passport, which in varying combos still exists today, remaining a constant force in the German jazz fusion scene.
