Boogie Around the World

Boogie Woogie was born in 1928 in New Orleans, a child of the roaring 20s. Three years later Little Willie Littlefield was born in Texas. At age 16 he was already the "teenage wonderboy", and his first record, "Little Willies's Boogie" became a hit in Texas. This is the era of the rhythm and blues of Nat King Cole and Charles Brown. With the song, "It's Midnight", Little Willie became an overnight sensation in L.A. His piano style took the West Coast and the whole U.S.A. by storm. 1978, his first trip to Europe and by 2000 he had very succesfully circled the globe with his music, finally settling in Holland.
The 77-year-old has now come out of early retirement with a new album recorded in January 2008 with the Berlin band, Jivin Jewels.
