Jochen Kowalski & The Capital Dance Orchestra

The world renowned alto Jochen Kowalski and the Capital Dance Orchestra thrilled the audience at last year's sold-out performance in the Rathaus Courtyard with interpretations ranging from Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Kurt Weill to popular tunes, film music and even Russian songs sung in Russian! Here is the chance once again to experience this unusual musical tête-a-tête in an exciting and humorous stage show.

Kowalski happily accepted the invitation by the 13-piece Capital Dance Orchestra, seizing the chance to free himself from his day-to-day musical bonds, and give himself over to the improvisations of swing and jazz.

The Orchestra belongs for many years now to the best of Berlin's big bands,with their live repertoire of over 200 numbers, remarkable arrangements of songs taken from old shellac records and first-class shows with guest stars.
