The Hot Swingers truly do their name justice, with their costumes and original microphones,t hey dedicate themselves to American Swing standards and rarities from the 20s, 30s, and 40s, played  with great charm and a lot of cheek.

With their latest album "Roots of Swing", the Pasadena Roof Orchestra delves into the origins of their music, presenting an extremely lively array of catchy tunes like "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön" and "Just a Gigolo". The band's beginnings go back a good 38 years as the baker John Arthy from Manchester, discovered over 1,000 yellowed original swing arrangements and, with these jewels in hand, founded an orchestra dedicated to the preservation of jazz, swing and dance music of the era between the 20s and 40s. Their name is a combination of the song "Home in Pasadena" and the site of the discovery: the roof.
