They sang together in the early 70s in the Klaus Lenz Band.Here, Uschi Brüning and Manfred Krug perform together for the 5^th time, in one of the fastest sold-out shows of the festival. New this year is their accompaniment by the Berlin Jazz Orchestra,in their renderings of  jazz, swing and blues evergreens.

Be it chansons, blues, gospel, pop, swing standards or modern jazz, Uschi Brüning is convincing in all of them. Her husband, saxophonist Ernst-Ludwig Petrowski is one of the leading figures in German modern jazz, and has recorded over 70 LPs and CDs.

The actor and TV series favorite Manfred Krug once again performs brilliantly as a singer of jazz songs, some of which he translated himself into German.

The young, exceedingly talented singer Marc Secara and his Berlin Jazz Orchestra, conducted by the former RIAS Big Band leader Jiggs Wigham, have fast made a name for themselves and a permanent place on the international big band scene.
